International Forum on Disaster Medicine

  Traumatic stress has many faces. In addition to the devastating effects of large-scale disasters and catastrophes, the day-to-day traumatic experiences (e.g., chronic illness, accidents, domestic violence and loss) also presents practitioners with difficult challenges. The mission of the Forum was to increase awareness of the effects of these traumatic events and, ultimately, to improve the quality of intervention with survivors. 

What were our Objectives

To develop criteria for Threat Assessment and Target Violence Crises Management.
Military Hospitals as a part of the National Public Healthcare System. 
Development of the UN - Slovakian International Institute for Peacekeeping, Disaster and Crisis Management at the Air Force Military Hospital in Kosice.
