PARMED NAVTI FOUNDATION, CAMEROON COOPERATION

After lengthy negotiations on January 2005, His Grace Dom Klaus Schlapps, President of Regency of Lomar Foundation Inc, U.S.A. signed an world-wide cooperation agreement with the Executives of the PARMED NAVTI Foundation, and Jean Louis Shudzeka was appointed Ambassador for Regency of Lomar and the Head of the Cameroon Mission. Shortly thereafter a 20 feet container was sent to Cameroon to support new projects. Part of the cargo was medications, medical supplies, computers, office equipment and several sawing machines.

With the support of 6 sewing machines from PARMED / ROLF Germany, in August 2005 we lunched a Dressmaking Training Workshops in the Town of Tobin Kumbo. Eventually we added two more sewing machines and one zigzag machine to the program. Today we have 25 underprivileged children who are learning, for free, dress making techniques in what it became a two year fulltime training program.

    ICT - COMPUTER LITERACY PROJECT

On January 2004 we installed our first computer in Tobin Kumbo. Total investment was 400 Euro. Eventually we rented two more computers and a printer from a local company (Office Pro Group Cameroon - UNDP Project). In 2005 we got 10 additional computers from PARMED / ROLF to expend our ICT project.

CORN MILLS DONATED TO COMMUNITY WOMEN GROUPS

With grants of 9,000,000 Frs. CFA (14,000 euro), from Holsheu Foundation Germany through PARMED/ROLF Germany, we donated 10 corn mills to women groups in Bui District. This helped women in the areas with with a easier  access to corn mills and thus reduce long distances travel to mill their corn grain to corn fufu for final consumption.

THE ANAMED MALARIA PROGRAMME

Malaria is one of the killing diseases in Cameroon. With the sponsorship of Dom Klaus SCHLAPPs, we got a package of ARTEMISIA ANNUA seeds, to Africa, which we first cultivated at ANAMED (Action for Natural Medicine) NGO location in Germany. In May 2007, we had a large one week seminar in Congo with trainers from ANAMED Congo and ANAMED Germany. Many villagers attended and now over 2500 Artemisia plants are growing in Tobin Kumbo.
